Hugo Fonce, born in Querétaro and raised in León, México, comes from a Chinese-Mexican family.

Ursapure was created with a single goal in mind: to craft a contemporary shoe that embodies the importance of heritage and leaves a lasting impression.
Hugo found the answer in the past. He mastered the art of making shoes like the 1869 invention by Charles Goodyear, infused with the passion and heritage of Mexican shoemaking.

For 10 years, he has been perfecting this process, adding new materials, and combining techniques, resulting in pairs that resembles their predecessors and makes people rethink heritage.
Every pair is handcrafted in León, Mexico, the shoe capital of Latin America, using traditional Goodyear welt construction methods passed down through generations.
We believe in creating shoes that last. Our boots can be resoled multiple times, ensuring they can serve you for 20+ years, reducing waste and honoring quality over quantity.
Combining time-honored techniques with contemporary design, each pair bridges the gap between tradition and innovation, creating footwear that respects the past while embracing the future.
